On to the next summit…

Base Camp Brotherhood,

It is with mixed emotions that I write this. After conversations, prayer, and discernment, we have decided to close this chapter in our story at Base Camp Grand Rapids South. It has been a wild ride these last 6+ years. We have seen thousands of men come through the doors, hear your stories, and be changed. God has done some incredible work in and through this ministry.

His work isn’t done yet, not by a longshot. He’s still working on me and on you. He’s still writing stories. He’s still pursuing his lost sheep. He’s still taking circumstances we don’t understand and orchestrating them for His good and perfect will. He is our constant.

People change. Places change. Ministries change. God does not.

Change isn’t easy. This one especially feels bittersweet. Base Camp has had such an incredible impact on me personally, to move on from it feels surreal. Yet, we as a leadership team agreed, it’s the right decision. While we grieve letting go of something, we also eagerly look ahead to what’s next. There’s anticipation. There’s excitement. There’s an adventure ahead that God has not yet revealed. There’s a peace in knowing that it’s His plan, not ours.

On to the next summit!

Thank you. Thank you for the stories. Thank you for the vulnerability. Thank you for the honesty. Thank you for the empathy. Thank you for taking the risk, baring your soul, and letting others in. Keep doing it, brothers. Never stop.

We would love to gather one more time. We’ve decided on Sunday, October 26, 2025 @ 5:00pm for one final gathering. We’ll provide the food. You bring the memories. See you then!
